"Printmaking is the ultimate excitement for me, a sort of filling up. It has altered my life by altering my attitude and given me the courage to be fearless in my creative process. My work is always a revelation to me... It is what keeps me going back to the studio"

Anne England began the creative process in Florida, majoring in Art at Florida State University with a concentration in watercolor, oils & printmaking. She studied & worked there until the freedom of lifestyle and expression lured her to California in 1962.

After arriving in California, she received a scholarship to The Art Institute of Southern California. There, her transparent watercolor painting was greatly influenced by Roger Armstrong's teaching. She also received her Masters in FIne Art from California State University at Long Beach .

Over the years, Anne expanded her artistic repertoire by exploring the visual and textural opportunities offered by the printmaking medium. Extensive studies with Bill Riley, Jonde Northcutt, and Nick Capaci greatly influenced her art. She considers herself a painter who is a printmaker.
